Winter Field Day is January 24-25, less than three months from now!  So it’s high time to mark that weekend on your calendar, and let your spouse know that you will be unavailable that weekend for non-radio responsibilities.  (You can learn more about Winter Field Day at: https://winterfieldday.org/ )

In preparation for this event, WVARA’s Winter Field Day Site Selection Team (aka WWFDSST) had a very successful day today at Sunset Beach State Park near Watsonville.  

While Sunset’s Pine Hollow Group Camp would be ideal as a WFD site, it’s closed for the winter.  Scott, KK6IK, has volunteered to see if an exception can be made for our club.  But even if that can’t happen, we have identified an excellent set of individual campsites in the Pine Hollow and Dunes Campgrounds that should serve us well during the contest.
